Mission Statement

The mission of GLOBE Athletics is to improve a student’s self-confidence and overall health by participating in sports. Our coaching staff is committed to fostering improved decision-making, leadership and personal skills of each student-athlete. We believe that athletics enhances the qualities needed to be a socially responsible and involved member of the community. We aspire for athletic participation to be a valuable learning experience that will help develop well-rounded students and leaders that coincides with our school values of CREST.

Participation in athletics can have a lifelong impact on character development and the ability to work as a resourceful team member. Our sports programs are designed to build the best possible student-athletes by enhancing the core values of:

Our student-athletes (grade 5–8) have the opportunity to participate in several sports throughout the year and are coached at a more competitive level. Teams compete against other similar schools and teams in the Metro Atlanta Athletic Conference (MAAC).  Competitors include Atlanta International, Davis Academy, St. Martin, Galloway, Atlanta Classical, Epstein, Holy Spirit, Museum School and Ridgeview.

The GLOBE Academy is a charter school, therefore we are responsible for funding our own athletic programs. Parents of our student-athletes are expected to provide transportation to practices/games, pay a team fee of $200-250 or more and provide a sports physical to the school. Each player is expected to attend practices and maintain a B average or higher in each of their classes.  Leading by example and having positive influence at school and in the community is expected of our student-athletes.
