Flag Football – GLOBE Athletics

GLOBE's flag football team was formed in the spring of 2022. That season the team went undefeated and won the MAAC Conference Championship! Flag football is a co-ed sport played in the spring. In 2023 one of the teams finished 4th for the season. In 2024 we finished in the top 3 for the season.

Practice is typically two days per week with only one game per week. GLOBE will have two teams open to 5th through 8th grade students.

Season played: Spring. Registration will open in mid-January and tryouts are the first full week of February.

Checklist:
Physical on file with GLOBE.
Able to commit to both practice and play.
Mouth guard and soft cleats.

Spring Flag Football Tryouts 2025
Dates: Monday - February 3rd & Thursday Feb 6th.
Time: 4:00pm to 5:30pm.
Location: Silverbacks Park.
Pick Up: Pavilion at Silverbacks 5:30pm.

Spring Flag Football Practice Schedule 2025
Dates: Monday & Thursday (February, March & April).
Time: 4:00pm to 5:30pm.
Location: Silverbacks Park and/or possibly Shallowford Presbyterian one day/week.
Pick Up: Pavilion Silverbacks or Shallowford Presbyterian Church.

Fall 2025 Team Fee
The fee to participate in the 2024-2025 season is $250. This fee includes:
● Game Officials, coaches, facility rental for practice & games.
● Use of school provided uniform that shall be returned at the end of the season.
● Hoodie that each player will keep at the end of the season.
● Team Fees are due by April 1, 2025.

Transportation
Parents must provide transportation to practices and/or games.

Financial Assistance Application
If you are in need of financial assistance for the 2025-2026 season, here’s some pertinent information: This year, the process has changed a little from what you may have experienced in the past. The very minimum amount of assistance will range from 55-95% based upon proven need. If you would like to request this assistance please follow these instructions:

Team Fee Payment Deadline
Team fees are due by April 1, 2025. Your child will not be allowed to participate in any other GLOBE sports with an outstanding Team Fee balance from any sport.
